Field Services

Foundation Installation

The Tank Connection can provide you with complete foundation loading (static and dynamic loads), allowing for the development of a properly designed foundation. Additionally, based on the foundation loads generated, The Tank Connection can provide you with a quote for foundation design based on a given set of conservative parameters.  Once a soils report has been generated, the foundation design can be finalized and stamped by a PE from any state.

We can stop with the foundation design for use with your local contractor or we can provide you with a quote for complete foundation installation.  From excavation through anchor bolt placement and finishing, we provide quality contractor service by experienced professionals.

Tank Installation
The Tank Connection can provide complete field installation services on every project. Typical field installations include:  welded tanks, bolted tanks, bolted hopper tanks, drive-through skirted tanks, elevated tanks on legs, elevated tanks on structural steel, smoothwall storage tanks, flat panel tanks, column enclosures, bunkers, large silos, structural steel, maintenance platforms, stairways and walkways of every size and configuration. If it stores product and requires quality containment, we build it. If it goes on a storage tank, we supply it and we install it. We offer installation services direct through The Tank Connection and TankBuilders.com. We offer non-union and union installation services at competitive rates. More importantly, our customer base is comprised of new and repeat customers that promote our performance in the field as the best available. Give us a try on your next project and let us exceed your expectations.

Equipment Installation
We provide auxiliary tank components, process systems and complete installation services for both. From pneumatic and mechanical conveying systems to feeders, dust collection, inventory management, process equipment and components, we install what we sell. Turnkey performance from one company that installs storage systems everyday. Check out our equipment website at www.drybulkconnection.com. We supply complete storage systems from the ground up.

Field Inspection & Supervision
We supply tank inspection services and field supervision on all types of tank construction. The Tank Connection can verify the design adequacy of old tanks and silos at your location through ultrasonic testing. We provide field inspection services on carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum tanks. Field inspections are routinely conducted to determine a number of factors:

  • Itemized inventory list for tank repairs

  • Inspection for retrofit applications

  • Erratic flow conditions

  • Tank corrosion conditions

  • Tank abrasion conditions

  • Tank design adequacy

  • New product applications

  • Mass flow, funnel flow, expanded flow discharge conditions

  • Customer retrofit applications

  • Interior or exterior coating failure

  • Modified design parameters (wind, seismic, product wt. changes, deck loads, etc.)
